Terry Marcel and Harry Robertson's follow-up to Hawk the Slayer with Sci-Fi trappings of the main characters being transported to a parallel universe.

Fun Fact: Filmed in South Africa during the height of Apartheid.

How did I miss this? I need to find it.

Tubi
Dr. Who and the Daleks (1966) - Peter Cushing, Roberta Tovey, Jennie Linden, Roy Castle

A retelling of the second Doctor Who serial (Dec. 1963 - Feb. 1964) starring William Hartnell. Better sets. More stupid.

Daleks' Invasion Earth: 2150 A.D. (1966) - Peter Cushing, Roberta Tovey, Jill Curzon, Bernard Cribbins

Still refers to himself as "Dr. Who" but not as stupid a story.

4.5/5 combined
Enhanced (2019) - George Tchortov, Alanna Bale, Adrian Holmes

A lesser Canadian sci-fi movie with a dubious premise and of little consequence.
Ah Tubi. I found it and Yor but haven't watched them yet.

I think I liked the Cushing Who when I watched it but Hartnell is my favorite Doctor.

National Lampoons Vacation 1983
Falling Down 1993

Not sure vacation standsthe test of time but any genius in it seems to come from Ramis.

Falling Down was probably even more powerful and significant to me now than when I was just entering the workplace. Still an engaging commentary on the unnecessary stresses and lies in our culture. I suspect nowadays it would strike millennials more on the mental health side but I recall it seeming like everyone was shocked and talking about it in it's day.

Kangaroo Jack

I think it's underrated. A decent comedy with Estella Warren stealing the show. I think the disconnect came with the trailer which made it feel like a bait and switch.

Reality Bites

Great soundtrack, solid cast (except Stiller, he's always the same to me whether being serious of comedic - he also directs which seems to be more his forte). To me this is a classic and I really like Ethan Hawke's singing.

WHAT? Those are fighting words. Pertwee all the way, you poseur.

Could be you self-publicist! Wait, that's not correct use of my thesaurus. You facer? Nope... I got nothing.

Honestly, I didn't watch a lot of Pertwee. I wasn't a huge fan of Troughten but did really enjoy the animated episodes added later. I just couldn't endure Pertwee after slagging through Troughten. I skipped around after that. I also enjoyed Ecclestan a lot and Tenant was good. I got to meet Davison which was cool... Oh, guess I sorta met Colin Baker in passing too but I actually had a meal and drinks with Davison.

I'm truly not a Whovian but when I went through a rough patch in my life, a Whovian friend helped me out by making me watch copious amounts of Doctor Who. Thus Who holds a special place through the therapy it provided (mostly the friendship and distraction from troubles).
Silverado (1985)

I very much enjoyed this Western and the star-studded cast that brought it to life. Except Costner. He's just himself as usual.

Peter Pan Goes Wrong (2016)

Hahahahahahahah! I almost died laughing.
So I'm house/pet sitting for my aunt, again, and she has DirectTV with all the premium channels. I see that

Bloodshot (2020) Vin Diesel, Guy Pearce, Eiza González

will be shown later. I'm curious, so I set the DVR to record. As I was watching it the next day, I realized that I had watched it the last time I house/pet sat for my aunt. That's my review: I had forgotten that I'd already seen the movie and recorded it again.
Not exactly a rave review. Big Grin
