It appears to be a normal rusty scabbard. Scanning the area doesn't reveal anyone near the cave however you do see movement on the other side of the hill. It seems like a lone small humanoid but you can't make it out clearly (it's on the other side), but you're pretty sure it's not paying much attention to your direction at the moment.

[Taken from part 1 of William Hartnell's Doctor Who, "The Daleks" storyline. The group come out of the TaRDiS to find a small metal box on the ground that wasn't there the night before. "Don't touch it. It might go off," says Barbara Wright. That there was no reason to suspect that the box would be an explosive launched the statement into my repertoire of Quotes to Use as Often as Possible along with other greats such as "I blame society," from Repo Man and "'Where are we going?' '
Castor tells Mighter to wait 10 minutes then start crashing toward the who- or whatever while he (Castor) circles around downwind.

OOC: Hartnell's adventures as the Doctor are some of my favourite.
Castor easily makes his way around to see a Goblin lazily tying long grass into a necklace and smiling. The Goblin doesn't seem to have noticed him.

Castor waits until Mighter's d4 Adventure jaunt becomes audible and the goblin's attention is in that direction to step out. "Excuse me. We're looking for some children. Would you by any chance happen to know where we should be looking?"

Upon hearing Mighter, the Goblin drops his craft and raises a short bow shakily. He jumps with a start when Castor speaks.

The Goblin turns toward Castor with his bow aiming at the ground. His eyes are wide with what could be a fight or flight decision on the go.

Mighter continues to approach, armed, but stops just outside mêlée distance.
