RE: [PbP 1] We're Off To See The Kobold - Kersus - 06-05-2014 Do you try to stop the Goblin in his movement away from you? RE: [PbP 1] We're Off To See The Kobold - Oedipussy Rex - 06-05-2014 Castor: "Let him go." Mighter: *glare* Castor: "You want to chase him? He knows the terrain and you're as swift as a pig with three wooden legs." Mighter: *glare* Castor: "Don't worry, you'll get all the fighting you want soon enough." [The Story of the Pig with Three Wooden Legs A traveling salesman trying to make a buck was driving through the plains of New Braska when he decided to stop at a farmhouse coming up on his left. As he was walking toward the front door of the house, a pig with three wooden legs caught his eye. It was just hobbling through the grass. When the farmer answered the door and asked what he was selling, the salesman first asked about the three-legged pig. "That pig is the most amazing pig in the land, son," the farmer said. "Last year, our house caught fire when we were all asleep and that pig ran in and woke us all up one by one and saved our lives!" The salesman was surprised. "That is one special pig." The Farmer replied, "That's not all. Last summer, that pig jumped into the pond and dragged my drowning son to safety. He would have died." The salesman was in disbelief as to how incredible this pig was. "Sure enough. And then last fall, the youngest fell into the well and that pig kept pushing and butting me all the way over to save her." "One question. Why does he have three wooden legs?" asked the salesman. "Well son, ya see, a pig like that you just don't eat all at one time."] RE: [PbP 1] We're Off To See The Kobold - Kersus - 06-06-2014 You see the Goblin utterly fail at anything stealthy, open up a "no longer hidden" door and drop in. RE: [PbP 1] We're Off To See The Kobold - Oedipussy Rex - 06-07-2014 Castor and Mighter walk over to the door and take a look in. RE: [PbP 1] We're Off To See The Kobold - Kersus - 06-08-2014 The "door" is camouflaged but you easily see how it works. It closed behind the Goblin and appears to go straight down. The door pulls open upwards and darkness is beyond it. RE: [PbP 1] We're Off To See The Kobold - Oedipussy Rex - 06-11-2014 Light a torch and drop it in. Listen for movement or anything that might be of concern/interest/unseen. RE: [PbP 1] We're Off To See The Kobold - Kersus - 06-11-2014 It drops into a room not far down (25 feet - furthermore feet are denoted with ' as in 25') and you can see a desk and chair. Something moved at the edges of the light and you hear surprised Gobliny voices followed by irritation and hollering. RE: [PbP 1] We're Off To See The Kobold - Oedipussy Rex - 07-29-2014 Assuming no ladder, which wasn't mentioned in the description, Mighter hangs from the edge and drops into the room. (25' minus 5' for hanging minus 10' for a jump -> 10' fall onto, assuming, stone. Need to beat a 1 per the Falling Damage rules or take d3 damage/PoF. 1d4 rolled for a total of: 3 (3)) Mighter rolls out of the way and Caster follows suit 1d8 rolled for a total of: 3 (3) |
