gmusicbrowser (Used to be Rhythmbox, but when I switched from Gnome, to install it it would pull in 200+ mb, including Nautilus, in dependencies. They've fixed that issue so that it only pulls in ~20 mb, but I've gotten used to gmusicbrowser and I don't need everything Rhythmbox has to offer. Especially not on my new laptop with possibly the worst speakers in existence since the days of the Gramophone.)
Mousepad
gthumb for quick viewing and simple editing
GIMP for more advanced editing
geeqie for slideshow because gthumb scales up smaller images to fit the screen in slideshow
LibreOffice -- mostly Writer and Calc

Being able to use a keyboard shortcut to advance to a page I haven't visited yet is an amazing thing. Multiple pages of a forum thread? [ctrl + ->]. Don't see what you're looking for in a google search? Try the next page: [ctrl + ->]. Want to see the next picture in a gallery? You got it: [ctrl + ->].

The engine Opera uses now doesn't have that feature.

Smile I'm also a huge fan of Opera pre-Chromium, so 12. I haven't found another browser that can fill the role it did.

I've had Opera since it was riddled with ads. Ups and downs, but the new one is just Chromium. Probably the best Chrome based browser (sware iron is close) but leagues away from being as useful as Opera 12. We've taken giant steps back in a lot of tech.

So far mostly using Firefox and LibreOffice in OpenSuse (Leap 42.1). I've been moving clients to Firefox lately simply because it has more compatibility with things. IE/Edge and Chrome are very picky. Messed with Midori a bit. I guess it's finally time for me to get some type of universal/cloud bookmarking system.

I am not liking Firefox in OpenSuse. Why doesn't the backspace let me go back a page?
