[ACT] What shows have you been watching?

If they're all as good as my top 5, not enough. If they're the quality of Boba Fett (which I liked despite its flaws), too many. But I have high hopes for The Bad Batch. High hopes. High apple pie in the sky hopes.

And those hopes for season 2 of The Bad Batch have held up through the first two episodes. Nothing new or groundbreaking, just good storytelling.

Browser crashed. Second, much shorter post.

Re-watched Rogue One, against my better judgment.

1) It's a gorgeous movie.

2) I still hate it. Stupid plot points, unearned friendships, and cats all the way down.

Not to mention, "Since you are reluctant to provide us with the location of the Rebel base, I have chosen to test this station's destructive power on your home planet of Alderaan." You mean the station's destructive power this movie showed you had tested twice, already?

Looked forward toevery episode of Tulsa King despite some of them being meh. Finale was mostly good.

Rewatched my favourite classic. Harvey (1950). It was so much better than i remembered and i've certainly watched in in the last ten years. I know intellectually that i love it but even i have to see it again to fully appreciate it.

Trying the TV show Banshee but while i want to like it, i think it may be too violent for me. Hard to explain why considering Tulsa King is also violent but Banshee is fairly explicit.

Lots o' sex and violence in Banshee. Good lord, there's a lot of sex 'n' violence. Made me an Antony Starr fan. Great show but not for everyone.

She-Hulk. Heard bad things about it and seeing a promo bit where Maslany and/or her body double twerking in her office turned me off of the show, despite loving Orphan Black. But a sleepless night and a Youtubes video about how not to do critique led me back to the show.

It's okay. The finale is garbage, but the show's fine and I remain a Tatiana Maslany fan. As for the twerking scene, that was a post-credit bit that makes sense in that context.

Clearing out the dvr. Killing Eve is over. Interesting season. I'll have to rewatch previous seasons to see if Eve's final development in the last episode was truly earned, but I don't feel like it was a cop out.

Watched the season 2 opener of Titans. It was a shitty season 1 finale and an even worse season 2 premiere. Seriously. We had to wait a year for sub-CW quality writing, CGI, and production just to wrap the entirety of season 1 in 30 minutes. I'm thinking of just deleting the rest of the episodes.

Doctor Who. ...

Fear the Walking Dead season something-or-other. Didn't like it. Didn't like the ham-fisted acting, the ham-fisted dialogue, the ham-fisted plots. I do have to give credit to the writers for their homage to Green Acres: the final episode was just a pilot for a different series. Unlike Green Acres, this pilot appears to have been given the green light.

I have watched a lot of crappy shows in my life. A lot of crappy shows. Hell, I grew up in the '70s. A lot of crappy shows.

This isn't one of them.

YouTubeTV has been picked up and cable tv, which is bundled with internet, will be dropped, so I've been bingeing a lot of The Walking Dead related shows that have been sitting on the dvr.

The first half of the final season of Fear the Walking Dead (which did not end last season as I stated above), was better than the previous season, but still filled with moments that leave me dumbfounded in their stupidity.

Tales of the Walking Dead was a mixed bag, but overall I give it a thumbs up.

The Walking Dead: Dead City. Maggie and Negan have got to be the worst team-up ever. Hope season two comes out soon.

Seen three episodes of Darryl Dixon and I like it, so far. What can I say? I really like Clémence Poésy. I also recommend her in The Tunnel, and In Bruges.

And the final season of The Walking Dead. I suppose it ended well enough, but I can't say that I'm disappointed it's over. Some of the characters were really starting to annoy me, whether through the writing or from the performance. Eugene, in particular. Jerry was good. I liked Jerry.
