Tracy's HackMoor(v4) 2017/02/09 - The Work Order (T1)
Games are on Thursday nights sometime after 5:30PM at World's Best Comics, 9714 Warwick Blvd Newport News, Virginia 23601.

This week we had a meat lovers pizza with the Pepperoni out, Steak in.

I decided on a reset. So any new Rift Vortices will appear at a new cumulative 1% if anything dies.

This week we spent most of the evening in chit chat and only did a few things.

The first thing the party had to do was get Grok and Madger out of the relative Ethereal plane.  Elefus had to "burn" one of his 5th level clerical spells and pray for 50 minutes to acquire Plane Shift and get them back.

Next the Party reversed course out of their dead-end and went back towards the last intersection, turning left they went into a 30' by 30' room (another dead-end by the way) occupied by a half dozen Icosahedrones.  (A.K.A.  Alpha Modrons, creatures from the Lawful Neutral plane of Nirvana, A.K.A. Mechanus in lesser game systems.)

"What do you want?"  asked one of the multifaceted creatures.

"A gem." replied Jacko.  Since he was looking for a shortcut to the next crystal that would fit in the Orb of Abyssal Death.

"Do you have a Work Order?" said one of the Modrons.

"A Work Order?" replied Jacko.

"Yes, specifically form 27B stroke 6." said another.

What followed next was as short discussion of the movie Brazil.  Rather than go through the formality of digging up a form, the Player for Jacko strategically played a HackMaster card suitable for the occasion, thus fulfilling the requirement for the Work Order.  As far as the characters were concerned Jacko produced a 11"x17" pre-printed green-bar folded sheet in a plastic industrial strength sheet protector.

"Okay.", and our group of six platonic solids took the lead followed by the Party, moved back down the hall.  They started turning down corners into a typical search pattern except for one corner.

"Not that hall", said Jacko, "we've been that way already."

Faced with inescapable logic, the six reorganized and kept going until they once again ran into the sound of hoof beats, or claw beats in this case.  They had turned left into a double diamond shaped room with eight fire pits and were attacked by four Hippogruffs.

With superior armor and monotonic repetition our new polyhedric warriors easily defeated the bird like claws from the flightless birds, receiving only minor scratches.   The routine search afterwards found a nest with one egg and a gem.  Apparently the next gem the Party is looking for.  So without touching it, because they figured it would send them to the next plane, they decided to continue exploring this Nexus.  Aerys took the egg.

Amending the Work Order to fit the situation since it was a paper document, they left the six Alpha Modrons to guard the gem.

At least I didn't make them cancel the Work Order, send it back to Engineering and Document Control to change the Steps of the Routing, and re-enter the Work Order.

Item on the agenda for next week: Roll for another Rift Vortex at 4% or less on percentile dice for killing four Hippogruffs.
