Tracy's HackMoor(v4) 2017/03/23 - Out and Back Up the Spire (T1)
Games are (usually) on Thursday nights sometime after 5:30PM at World's Best Comics, 9714 Warwick Blvd Newport News, Virginia 23601.

This week we had a chicken and cheese, extra large. The week before we had a steak and cheese, large.

Again this is a two session report that cover two weeks Both March 16 and March 23. Both sessions actuall full length, we just didn't do much. One of the side benefit of my Players are the hardware upgrades. One Player replaced the fan on my laptop while we discussed technology. Another Player went out to Radio Shack to get some Silver Paste for the other guy working on my laptop.  (The store was closing down and it was also on sale at 30% off.)

NEXT WEEK IS BOARD GAME NIGHT.  WE DECIDED TO DO CLASSICAL AXIS & ALLIES.  (If I can get a couple more Players, I can run it Double-Blind.)

++++ START OF 1ST WEEK ++++

The party took considerable damage from the little critters.  They were about twice the size of Raccoons.  Apparently their favorite tactic is to wound one of their number and have it make a pitiful noise.  When a traveling party approaches and they approach to heal it, they all ambush from the sidelines.  The party fell for it.

They were only one hit die creatures, but since they had a fifteen foot leap they attacked the party from the sides all along the marching order.  Meaning the weaker party members had to fend for themselves.  The stronger characters took care of themselves handily but it mean a delay helping the rest of the party.

Once finished, various party members started wandering off in different directions.  They discovered they were being controlled by a small spider that had crawled on the backs of their necks and bit.  The party took care of the problem but it meant another delay.

The Party decided to back to the spire and set fire to the brush and grassland below.  The mechanics thereof to be decided the next week.

++++ END OF 1ST WEEK ++++

++++ START OF 2ND WEEK ++++

The party debated the best method to set fire to the valley below.  The thought about using the "dry" cantrip followed by various fire spells, but the cantrip would only dry one cubic yard per casting.  They hit upon the idea of using the Garnet Gem from the Orb of Abyssal Death to summon a Fire Elemental and let him do the dirty work.

So done.  (Only remained to calculate the various experience points of any creatures so exterminated.)

A few survivors attempted to make it up the spire where the party was.  First was a demon bull, (officially a Bullweiler,) that Elefus cast down.  The second was a ghost like figure.  Not sure if it was a survivor, but it came up the hill nonetheless.  Jacko's new demonspawn girlfriend took care of it with Magic Missiles.

Again it was a short night.
