Macs are Obsolete the Moment you buy them
#1
I'm typing this on a Macbook Pro - Snow Leopard. I finally increased the 4GB RAM to 8GB. I'm considered swapping the drive out for an SSD. hat's pretty much all you can upgrade. the main issue is that not much supports Snow Leopard which is the last secure and stable Mac OS. So, I may have to move into Sierra via a jump to El Capitan or something like that. No idea if it will even work. But then I have a crappy modern Mac OS that gets infected, slows down, etc.

The Mac is primarily used as a viewer for my Plex server and occasional Netflix Dailyburn and other video watching. Interestingly, the network port isn't any fast than the wifi. he Macbook is capped in it's ability to take in Internet. Like a governor on a car.

Egads Apple products suck. Girlfriend is forced to use an iPhone for work and man it's complete garbage.
