I did a little "research" and I don't trust Discord. Gmail and Youtube are one thing; google already knows all the details of my life better than I do. I'm not ready to let another corporation have that kind of access.

So, I need to reword the Discord Welcome Message and then setup a Rules/Mission statement.
Right now the Welcome is split into two messages that I need to make one message within the character limit.
MSG 1
Welcome to Furiously Eclectic People
FEP hearkens back to just after BBSs went out and Mailing Lists started up. We’ve been hosted at a few forums and facebook, losing people and gaining others which each shift in medium. Now we’re on Discord.
FEP to me is a place where people from various backgrounds can find common ground and enjoy each other’s company even when disagreeing on fundamental issues.
This particular server currently is essentially a place to talk about tabletop gaming and to play virtual tabletop games with the former ideas in place. People of various ethos playing together and enjoying life.
What we do:
• We host annual virtual gaming events. See pins in #talk-about-events-we-host.
• We host single/limited sessions of RPGs usually on a Saturday. See #talk-about-events-we-host and contact @Kersus#6105 if you want to run something.
• We do groupwatch viewings of tv shows and movies in the Cocktail Lounge and #cocktail-lounge
• Generally all events hosted here can be signed up in #event-schedule.
• Discord Bot games are for everyone to use and enjoy. See them at #help-with-discord-games.
• We are firm believers in using the spoiler tag or to at least not publicly spoil movies or books in #books-movies-tv
We don’t reject any games, however the current mainstays of this server for RPGs are Classsic Traveller and the clone of Holmes, Blueholme. We also enjoy obscure games like Far Away Land (which has a weekly campaign) and Lejendary Adventure. Encouraged are games like Mork Borg, Tails of Equestria and Troika!
Along with Blueholme, we are nostalgic about AD&D1e and anything earlier along with modern clones of those versions of D&D (Delving Deeper for instance).
It's not unheard of to see Call of Cthulhu, Cryptworld, the Eldritch RPG and Pendragon played here as well.
Please do read through #rules-navigation-roles and select some self-assigned roles that are specific to you. This way you will be tagged if a game or event you might be interested in comes up.

Come to Discord!!!!! It's where all the weird people hang out! Well, eccentric is maybe a better term. Message me for invite as I've canceled all the old invites since this forum is publicly crawlable, it may generate spam.
I also get about 20=50 attempts a day for spammers to join this forum so any real people just get lost in the flood. Discord allows me more control and anything deleted there is gone forever. It's not like Google or the rest of the Internet.
