DCC #81 The One Who Watches From Below for SCHWA

These are my conversion notes for the adventure which you can buy from Goodman Games. I have playtested a few encounters as well as the complete adventure. Note that a few encounters never happened so this is a rough draft. I did not repeat stats where a creature already stated reappears in the adventure.

Klazath is Krondar, Dwarven deity of (independence, war, order/revenge[strength])

C2K - Rough Advantage

I was taken aback shortly into this chapter. The overt sexual payment in this progressive society......

C2A: Sweet Chaldra of Mine.

This chapter gave us some deeper insight into the culture of Astria. I enjoyed learning more about the Well and the role of the women associated with the well.

There were some interesting scenes where we get to see Estri's skills at work.

There's underlying politics in everything, I find myself getting lost in the meaning 'below' the meaning.

Still unsure about the Chaldra, is it a chastity belt? Is it just a chain they wear to dictate their social status? Is it an indication of destiny?

Tracy's HackMoor Campaign 2016/02/22

This campaign has moved to MONDAY NIGHTs sometime after 5:30PM at the same place. Games will be held at World's Best Comics, 9714 Warwick Blvd Newport News, Virginia 23601.

PART 1.

We had a single extra large Combo pizza, with the pepperoni to one side to allow for the druthers of one of the participants.

Remaining tasks for character generation were completed such as buying equipment, as we can't have the characters naked after all. Skills not yet rolled for were completed.

This campaign has moved to MONDAY NIGHTs sometime after 5:30PM at the same place. Games will be held at World's Best Comics, 9714 Warwick Blvd Newport News, Virginia 23601.

PART 1.

This week we had two large custom made pizzas to welcome five new Players to the campaign. Since it is HackMaster, we spent the whole night rolling up new characters.

The highlight of the session was one player chose to be the Thief variety. During determination of how the character grew up, an 18 on a roll of 3 six sided dice indicated his character spent 20 years in prison hitherto.

Knitting Pattern: The Hateful knit!

I haven't seen The Hateful Eight yet but I did see enough screenshots to notice the awesome knitwear on the characters.

This is a start of a multi-part series from the Hateful Eight I'm hoping.

This pattern is for Samuel L Jackson's character Major Marquis Warren, he wears a long manly scarf that wraps around so many times!

I wasn't really sure what to call this scarf pattern....The Hateful Knit...The Scarf-ful Eight...The Handknit weight?

C1K: Chaldra Chaldra Chaldra...

I'm not fond of the method used to begin this novel, however that is likely because I've read so many that use it lately. We get some explanation of the world with a little shock and awe for the masses, but it's slow. Despite that the verbiage is quite beautiful.

Once we start into the story it's quite engaging and fun. I quite like both of the characters we deal with and see them both grow as people in a single chapter.

We have an adventure at hand with a few mysteries in a backdrop of sexiness. I am intrigued by what I will find around the next corner!

Crochet Pattern: Do cowls stay awake all night?

I've been hunkered down this week, enjoying the snow and lots of knitting and crocheting.

I had a ball of Loops and Threads Impeccable, in a pretty pastel multi colourway. It is a soft yarn that goes thick and thin, making it really interesting visually.

I wanted to make something loose and airy yet still soft and warm, so I grabbed a crochet hook and had a go.

I came out with a lovely, loose and soft cowl that looks like superkid icecream!

Tracy's HackMoor Campaign 2016/02/09

Good News! I have acquired four more players which means the HackMaster campaign will resume!

Due to new Player negotiations this also means we are moving to MONDAY NIGHTs sometime after 5:30PM. Games will be held at World's Best Comics, 9714 Warwick Blvd Newport News, Virginia 23601.

This time we had a meat lover's pizza with the pepperoni removed and phillycheesesteak meat added. This was another night of board gaming due to lack of sufficient HackMaster Players. We played two games of Nuclear war and a game of Acquire.

Tracy's HackMoor Campaign 2016/02/02

We had a medium chicken & green pepper pizza and this was another night of board gaming due to lack of sufficient HackMaster Players. This report filed as a place holder.

We played two more sessions of Settlers of Catan followed by a round of the Dr. Who card game.
