Gave them 100 Health and d2 Warrior damage and they were far too weak. Both were killed and I think the concept of this encounter is to avoid them.
It made me wonder how often monsters would use Power Attacks.
The nice thing about this adventure is the ease in which I can add new PCs after others have died. On the other hand, it's a pretty menial dungeon crawl with what can become a pretty frustrating curse. It is most certainly better in a campaign than as a one-shot. There's no desire to sacrifice life for treasure in a one-shot.
