Ongoing Education - Kersus - 02-02-2017

I always found self learning (learning on my own) to be far more effective than anything official. Beyond basic language and mathematics, school taught me few things outside of social interactions (bullies, justice, nature of people).

Anyhow, I used to continuously educate myself on new things as best I could but lately i've been a bit burned out.

Stil, I have been learning about linguistics, history of English, looking into why Hitler did the things he did, basic German (I'm behind in this), Linux (neverending)...

I am taking a course in Databases through cPanel Univeristy.

I am usually studying some form of theology as well.

For work I'm learning the ins and outs of Joomla and why you should neevr use proprietary templates/components/etc.

It may sound like very little to some, but it's overwhelming sometimes. To others it may seem like a lot but bare in mind I'm doing them all quite slowly despite having a natural quick learning curve with things. I'm just burned out and need a vacation.

RE: Ongoing Education - Groo The Wanderer - 02-24-2017

University kicked my butt about 20 years ago (apparently one needs to study to succeed in rocket science), but I've never even considered getting rid of my old textbooks (probably a cost thing... dang, they were expensive!), so just the other day I cracked open a dust-crusted Calculus book and just started reading.

It still fascinates me.
