Kate (2021) Mary Elizabeth Winstead, Woody Harrelson, Miku Martineau
I liked it. More than I thought I would. And I thought I would like it just because of Mary Elizabeth Winstead, whose performances I've enjoyed, that I've seen, even if I didn't particularly enjoy the show. I liked her in Scott Pilgrim vs. the World and in season three of Fargo, with her baby daddy. I liked her in BrainDead and the execrable The Thing (2011) (which, according to a "What the Hell Happened"-type show I saw, was almost entirely the fault of the producers who kept interfering). I thought she did a good job with the material she was given in Birds of Prey, also with her baby daddy, and her confused reaction in Tarantino's Death Proof was spot-on perfect.
So, yeah, I liked her performance, but I also like how they took a murder mystery (Who killed me?) story and changed it into a revenge-cum-redemption story.
