It's been a very busy, very...strange 6 months. Lots of sickness has gone around and I'm on a merry-go-round of being sick it seems this year.
I haven't been knitting or crocheting much, saying that I still have 6 projects on the go, and I've been itching to cast on a Coffee Shop Wrap . I think it'd be perfect to wear to work in the air conditioning this summer.
I've been puttering along on the lapghan/blanket for my boyfriends dad still, it's a double-sided knit blanket. One side is royal blue and white for the Toronto Maple Leafs and the other side is Gold and Black for the Hamilton Ti-Cats. I started out making it a lapghan to just cover his legs but I got paranoid it wouldn't be long enough. Now it'd function as a shawl for his shoulders or his lap, and I'm still knitting. It's going to end up being a king sized blanket at this rate.
I'm also working on a Round Ripple Afghan for a coworker who just had a baby.
I have a laceweight scarf on the needles but it's been hibernating for a bit because it progresses so slowly. I can knit on it for an hour and see minimal progress. Lastly I'm working on a Serpentine Scarf , it's a fun knit but requires a bit of concentration so I've been slowly making progress on it.
I have a bad case of start-itis, I blame the beautiful colours of nature that are appearing, makes me want to cast on lacy, colourful shawls.
