[TWD] Toying With Destruction the RPG
#1
So at some point it became a thought to make a simple kids RPG for TWD. The issue is that the rules are designed for large scale mini battles and while large one toy per person battles seem to be the meat & potatoes, how to make an RPG that resembles the feel of the tactical game doesn't seem easy.

The world is relatively easy. Toys are exactly themselves but with the Ability to move on their own. The setting is where they would be in the real world.

That said, there was a setting idea with two factions and mercenaries.

Faction 1: Commercial Toys (teddy, kirby, etc)
Faction 2: Household Items (shows, bottles, etc.)
Mercenaries 1: Hot Wheels cars

It was a passing thought at some point.

The issue is whether to try and pull the mechanics from the game, simplify them, and create a way for toys to increase stats OR just create a new system for them. Preferably d10 based at least like the tactical game.

Once done, we can have crossovers with Fuzzy Heroes (with Chris' permission and help).

d10 based.

Toy Stats need to be simple, like a watered down version of the tactical game but they also need to be easily ported to the tactical game.

Since DP9 put out the Silhouette rules, I could utilize them but make them d10 based instead of d6. They're very functional for RPG and tactical games. The core mechanics are very simple and the rest of it would be stripped and modified for this game. This would also mean altering the tactical rules to coincide with the Silhouette rules.

I could also design a new set of rules.
