What is _wrong_ with Python? a.k.a. PoR probabilities

Seriously. What is its problem? So you have the loop

Code:
for x in range(2,12):
    sum += var[x]

If all values of var[] are 1 you'd expect sum to be 11. Right?
Wrong. It's only ten. If you want include var[12] the range needs to be (2,13).
