First
More than half the period was gone before the Flyers achieved a shot on goal. 14 minutes in they had a 3 on 2 against a collapsing Mete and Weber, performed a nice play and missed the net. The period end 0-0 and despite the lack of SOGs by Philly, it's a tight free-flowing game with only ten faceoffs so far with both teams playing well.
Best Hab of the period: Chaput

Second
The Flyers get their first few scoring chances 3 minutes into the period. Lehkonen has an awkward collision 4 minutes in. So far it's a great game with the refs letting the players decide until a weak call 7 minutes in against Kotkaniemi. So the refs give the Flyers a weak makeup call to balance out their poor decision earlier (Kotkaniemi just missed a puck and when checked by Voracek, it was called Interference). The Flyers push and work hard. Konecny gets a good angle and scores on a rebound while being knocked over. Later, van Riemsdyk tips a point-shot past Niemi. 2-0
Best Hab of the period: Niemi

Third
Drouin takes a silly penalty. Simmonds and Patrick cash in on a two-on-one versus Petry; 3-0. Both teams play hard but the Flyers keep getting offensive odd-man rushes (). Tatar pulls the puck to Domi who buries it; 3-1. Gallagher rushes the net but Hart stands tall and his teammates protect him. Patrick skates in on a pass from Voracek and beats Gallagher, Weber and Niemi; 4-1. Kulak gets a rebound; 4-2. A beauty rebound plops out to Drouin who misses the net. Habs pull the goalie in desperation and foolishness. The Flyers snag an empty net goal; 5-2.
Best Hab of the period: Domi

Hab's Three Stars:
1. Domi (1 goal, -1, 2 shots, 1 hit, 1 block, 18 minutes)
2. Chaput (1 shot, 9 minutes)
3. Danault (-1, 1 shot, 5 hits, 2 blocks, 18 minutes)

Weber led the team with a time-on-ice of 25 minutes but didn't have a particularly good game. Other than Danault and Domi (who is excelling since parting with Drouin as a linemate) only the fourth line constantly made things happen despite their low ice-time (under 10 minutes). Niemi also played very well with most of the goals not being his fault.
