Star Trek: The Original Series S02E19 "A Private Little War"
A planet (Class M?) off-limits to interference and yet here be Klingons and Federation among the bows and arrows. Apparently Kirk spent some time here among the people and made friends. There are two tribes and the Feds suspect Klingons are arming one of them. If so, Kirk may need to impose a 'balance of power.'
This is a simple yet intriguing story that ends up being standard Trek fare. It doesn't move overly quickly nor does it truly conclude the planet's storyline. It offers a picture into the past and future while forcing some hard decisions. Most of the time Kirk and Bones are arguing over morality and Kirk's arguments, while well spoken, fall flat on modern ears. It fits the style of the time.
The standout performance was Nancy Kovack who is gorgeous and effective even when surrounded by awful wigs, wooden extras and hairy/rubber costumes. Her outfit does not really fit, but it sure is spicy.
Why did I watch this episode? I found a little gem at the local Book Trader. "An Imbalance of Power" adventure and mini board game for the old FASA Star Trek RPG where the player's play the Klingons in a story very similar but fleshed out through to an exciting finale.

Oh, and by the way,
There's no such thing as Star Trek TOS. It's simply Star Trek.

While I agree, I didn't want people to confuse Star Trek with soap operas like The Next Generation.
