Dexter in Dead by Jeff Lindsay
So a video shows up in my recommended list on the youtubes (which I didn't watch): "The Book Series Gave Dexter Morgan the Ending the TV Series Couldn't" or something like that, with a thumbnail being a picture of the book book cover. "Oh good, Lindsay didn't end the series with [i]Dexter's Final Cut," I think to myself. So I acquire a copy and start reading. And it's typical Dexter. About halfway through, I start thinking that this is familiar. Three-quarters through I know without a doubt that I've read the book, anticipating the next plot point, but I continue reading to the end, because typical Dexter is the reason why I read all eight books in the series.
But still I'm concerned that I didn't recognize anything from the first half of the book. Especially since the book has been out for a decade and I definitely wauld have read it.
