Tracy's HackMoor (v4) 2017/01/12 - Jacko Gets His Groove On (T1)

Games are on Thursday night sometime after 5:30PM at World's Best Comics, 9714 Warwick Blvd Newport News, Virginia 23601.

We had an extra-large Chicken and Spinach Pizza.

I'm taking the word "Campaign" off the subject line as redundant. In addition one of the forums has a limited subject line space, this will give me 8 more letters.

++++ START OF SESSION ++++

Our last event saw Jacko disappear after touching a Gem. This left the party to go on separately. Also as said previously, Jacko wasn't dead. He was merely separated from the party. There are two ways I can go about this, one is to state either Jacko or the group's actions in separate write ups, or mention them in parallel to get a feel for the timeline.

I'll do the latter in ten minute segments.

FIRST TEN MINUTES

Jacko arrived in another Nexus. Everything is hot, humid and squishy. Fluid drips from the walls. Since he has infravision, he can see everything without lighting. For some strange reason he is not uncomfortable.

The rest of the Party on the other hand moved on to the next encounter. They found a group of 13 "Madgers" (half man, half badger) living on another escarpment adjacent to the main wall. The party noticed these Madgers arguing amongst themselves completely ignoring the party.

SECOND TEN MINUTES

Jacko moved on through one of several "openings" and managed to avoid a pair of Giant Leeches on the ceiling that could have dropped on him. Since the leeches are the same "body temperature" of his surroundings, his infravision didn't help much.

The party meanwhile got the attention of the Madgers and made an offer. Seeing as they're fighting between themselves, they offered 100 gold for a double elimination Madger tournament and the winner also gets to join the party. The Madgers took the bait.

It's not often the Party can avoid a fight by paying for it.

THIRD TEN MINUTES

Next, Jacko passed by some hanging beads entered a room with roomy lounge chairs, mood lighting, psychedelic wall art, and a score of "In a Godda daVida" playing in the background. Wherein was a "man" wearing a silk kaftan and matching scarf, albeit with glowing green eyes, pointy ears, fangs, six fingers on each hand and foot. Relaxing on the chairs next to him were some cheap topless Lamias each holding a glass of Ripple. (Determined apparently from the discarded bottles on the moist floor.)

"So you came here to paaaar-teeeeee?" said the nicely dressed man and offered Jacko a glass jar filled with tiny two-toned oblong objects. "Try my magic beans!"

"Well yeah, but four-footed beasties are not my thing." stressed Jacko, (having to talk over the volume).

"Easily arranged," and the man and snapped his fingers, and lower torsos became scantily clad human, complete with fishnet stockings and high heels.

"Much better.", said Jacko..

In the other Nexus the rest of the party watched in admiration as the first half of the Madgers fought, Queensberry rules. (The losers still had a chance in the next round.)

FOURTH TEN MINUTES

[Jacko's activities redacted.]

The party watched the 2nd round of the Madger fight.

FIFTH TEN MINUTES

[Jacko's activities redacted.]

The party watched the 3rd round of the Madger fight.

SIXTH TEN MINUTES

[Jacko's activities heavily redacted.]

The party watched the 4th round of the Madger fight.

SIXTH TEN MINUTES

Jacko cleans up after himself.

The party watches the 5th and last round of the Madger fight.

SEVENTH TEN MINUTES

Jacko and exchanges gifts with the extraplanar groupies. He gives the man his Vacuous Grimoire, who says, "Hah, I can always use this to re-gift as a joke. My friends always get a kick out of my practical jokes." The "man" in turn gave him a new girlfiend saying "She just got over a relationship and is on the upswing." Then he snapped his fingers and this dark-skinned, bat-winged, black-haired, female appeared. Complete with black lipstick and black nail-polish.

"She's also into Goth right now." he says.

Presuming this guy is fairly all-powerful, Jacko also asked for directions to the next Gem for the Orb of Abyssal Death. "Oh that trifle. Pieces of Iuz and Zuggtmoy's play-toy always dropping off for no reason. Its South from here, when you get back to where you appeared bear left, you can't miss it."

Meanwhile the party paid off the final Madger who then showed off his group's den while the rest recovered from their wounds. The den included a glowing Triangle glyph on the floor. "What's that?" The party asked. To which the Madger says "We don't know, any of us that ever walked into it disappears and never comes back. We usually use it to dump our trash." The party confers and tells the Madger, we're fairly certain its a portal out of here.

Without much ado, the party went through it.

EIGHTH TEN MINUTES

Jacko took his leave and with his new girlfiend and passed back through the room with the two Giant Leeches. Jacko then tells her about the rest of the party so she realizes she needs to blend in, especially with Elefus and his Mace of Disruption. In order to protect her identity she folds her wings and they look like nothing more than a leather cloak.

The party arrived in another Nexus, coincidentally, just like the one Jacko is in. Everything is hot, humid and squishy. Fluids drip from the walls. Only a few of the non-human party members can see in the dark but unlike Jacko, they are NOT getting used to the environment and feel quite uncomfortable. So they cast a Light spell.

NINTH TEN MINUTES

Jacko returns to his starting point and amazingly enough rejoins the party, though he is not much the worse for wear. Both sides have show off their new friends/fiends and exchange greetings. They also debrief each other for an extra ten minutes.

END OF SEGREGATED TIMELINE: Further descriptions will contain the entire Group.

The party moved South per Jacko's clue. Knowing what to look for they avoided another pair of Giant Leeches in one room, while in another they find a pair of Mynxes (half human female, half cat creatures) enjoying each other's company. While most of the party would rather just stay and watch, they invite the pair to join the adventuring group. The Party continues on South.

Lastly they arrive in a singular room with another shiny object. Another gem, a garnet. This time the Party decides to be in close proximity to each other as Jacko reaches for it.

Poof! They party finds itself in another Nexus. This time it is dry and hot but at least it is lit by flaming sconces. Again Jacko strangely does not feel uncomfortable while the rest of the party does.
