2016-01-21 [Marvel] Last Days of Silver Surfer #015

The Last Days of The Doctor.... er... Silver Surfer.

I picked up the of this series when it came out and while I didn't hate it, I really didn't much like it. SIlver Surfer is one of those characters I always enjoyed in general and while the art of the series sings "old-school" I found the writing of to be dull.

OSCon 5.5

This past weekend I attended the nascent at Wilmar Heights Event Centre in Toronto with .

I believe that this startup has some roots in OSRCon however I do not know the details of any connections except that I somehow gained contact with an organizer of OSCon 5.5 through something OSRCon related online. That is if my memory serves me much at all in this case.

Tracy's HackMoor Campaign 2016/01/12

This week was our first night of board gaming due to lack of sufficient HackMaster Players. Although as I said last week when we DON'T run a role playing game, I can mysteriously get that fourth Player and this was no exception.

Knitting Pattern: Bobble Hat

I received a set of the new Knitpicks Short tipped Interchangeable circular needles for christmas and wanted to test them out pronto!

I tried a couple patterns before deciding I'd just make my own. It's my first design I've posted on . I only used 1 circular needle in this pattern, but you can use 4 dpns or 2 circulars,as long as you join it.

I call it the Stripey Bobble Hat!

C10A: Punner? I don't even know her! [SPOILERS]

After procrastinating for a few months I finally finished reading Callahan's Lady. Lots of spoilers ahead!

I was enjoying the ruse the Professor and Sherry had going, it had me giggling a few times, imagining Sherry waddling around with a pillow under her shirt.

I had the hardest time understanding Tony Donuts dialogue, so I think I only got a vague gist of what he was trying to say in every conversation.

I really enjoyed when they were scamming Mrs. Willoughby and they both grew a conscience because they liked her so much.

Tracy's Hackmoor Campaign 2016/01/05

Because one of our Players took a Tuesday night job (I don't really think so but that's what he said). I decided to shit-can the campaign until there is a three Player quorum. This is to be expected as the cold of Winter has started, people just don't like going out and about for frivolity. Things should pick up when it gets warm again.

Tracy's HackMoor Campaign 2015/12/29

This entry includes pictures of Elefus' Gargoyle and Tujef front and back.

This time we had the another combo pizza, sans pepperoni, added extra cheese.

The schedule is up in the air. The Player for Elefus now says he has a Tuesday night job. Looking for the Player to divulge a better night to Play but it seems the Player doesn't even know what other nights are free for him.

If no further input is received, this game will continue to be held sometime around Tuesday at 5:30PM at World's Best Comics, 9714 Warwick Blvd Newport News, Virginia 23601.

2015-12-29 [IDW] Jem and the Holograms #1-7

This comic hits the nail on the head for being in the spirit of the source material. The only real way it deviates is by shoving homosexuality down your throat but that's our culture speaking. There's no need for it in the story but it's there to make us more LBGT friendly (which people generally are or are not - neither of which is a pressing issue for a fun little comic book). Notably, the letters page does contain various reader comments praising the inclusion of homosexuals.

[Shepherd Neame] Premium Spitfire Kentish Ale 4.2% 500ml Tall Boy Can

This is one of the few drinks where I have completed multiple tastings. You might wonder why, especially when it seems as though I may not like it. Well, I'm not entirely sure except that I'm a little fascinated by this ale. I like to find the optimal drinking circumstances for some drinks. Should it be ice cold, slightly chilled, warm, bottled, canned, etc? So here goes my fifth tasting.

Tracy's HackMoor Campaign 2015/12/22

This time we had the combo pizza, sans pepperoni, added black olives.

Games are on Tuesdays sometime around 5:30PM at World's Best Comics, 9714 Warwick Blvd Newport News, Virginia 23601.

After the Party defeated the Troglodytes, they ripped out what appeared to be circular insignia poorly stitched on crude uniforms. I say 'ripped', because no one in the party had the tailoring skill. They left the Troglodyte bodies to rot, albeit slowly since it was cold in December. At least they camped upwind.
