C10A: Punner? I don't even know her! [SPOILERS]

After procrastinating for a few months I finally finished reading Callahan's Lady. Lots of spoilers ahead!

I was enjoying the ruse the Professor and Sherry had going, it had me giggling a few times, imagining Sherry waddling around with a pillow under her shirt.

I had the hardest time understanding Tony Donuts dialogue, so I think I only got a vague gist of what he was trying to say in every conversation.

I really enjoyed when they were scamming Mrs. Willoughby and they both grew a conscience because they liked her so much.

Because one of our Players took a Tuesday night job (I don't really think so but that's what he said). I decided to shit-can the campaign until there is a three Player quorum. This is to be expected as the cold of Winter has started, people just don't like going out and about for frivolity. Things should pick up when it gets warm again.

Tracy's HackMoor Campaign 2015/12/29

This entry includes pictures of Elefus' Gargoyle and Tujef front and back.

This time we had the another combo pizza, sans pepperoni, added extra cheese.

The schedule is up in the air. The Player for Elefus now says he has a Tuesday night job. Looking for the Player to divulge a better night to Play but it seems the Player doesn't even know what other nights are free for him.

If no further input is received, this game will continue to be held sometime around Tuesday at 5:30PM at World's Best Comics, 9714 Warwick Blvd Newport News, Virginia 23601.

2015-12-29 [IDW] Jem and the Holograms #1-7

This comic hits the nail on the head for being in the spirit of the source material. The only real way it deviates is by shoving homosexuality down your throat but that's our culture speaking. There's no need for it in the story but it's there to make us more LBGT friendly (which people generally are or are not - neither of which is a pressing issue for a fun little comic book). Notably, the letters page does contain various reader comments praising the inclusion of homosexuals.

[Shepherd Neame] Premium Spitfire Kentish Ale 4.2% 500ml Tall Boy Can

This is one of the few drinks where I have completed multiple tastings. You might wonder why, especially when it seems as though I may not like it. Well, I'm not entirely sure except that I'm a little fascinated by this ale. I like to find the optimal drinking circumstances for some drinks. Should it be ice cold, slightly chilled, warm, bottled, canned, etc? So here goes my fifth tasting.

This time we had the combo pizza, sans pepperoni, added black olives.

Games are on Tuesdays sometime around 5:30PM at World's Best Comics, 9714 Warwick Blvd Newport News, Virginia 23601.

After the Party defeated the Troglodytes, they ripped out what appeared to be circular insignia poorly stitched on crude uniforms. I say 'ripped', because no one in the party had the tailoring skill. They left the Troglodyte bodies to rot, albeit slowly since it was cold in December. At least they camped upwind.

Glitter Force Episode 1 : He's Mighty Mighty!

Sparkles and schoolgirl outfits, need I say more? This caught my eye on Netflix and I'm not disappointed so far.

The show starts out with the shortest origin story I've ever seen (Thank you!). Girl has dreams of becoming a magical girl, girl becomes magical girl and fights. Nice and easy!

So far I'm enjoying the animation (so much pink and glitter!!) and the fairy-tale influences.

My favourite line was when the Wolf summoned the giant house ."He's mighty mighty.' If this kind of humour continues I'll be hooked.

Forgot what pizza it was, it was too many days ago.

Games are on Tuesdays sometime around 5:30PM at World's Best Comics, 9714 Warwick Blvd Newport News, Virginia 23601.

This time we re-did the battle against the Troglodytes (Trogs) that was unfinished from two weeks before. This allowed the introduction of the new character back from the last pit-stop at the Regent of the Mines.

We replayed the battle "formally" without glossing things over. There were 20 regular Trogs, 2 Leader Trogs and 1 Sub-Chief Trog.

Long Overdue Response

"If you were to compare starting SCHWA characters to AD&D1e characters, what level would they transfer to? 3rd? 2nd?"

Short answer: I wouldn't compare them to AD&D characters. Mostly because of the math.

In any iteration of D&D, even those games that are only nominally D&D, only a single die is used to determine success or failure, the d20. Bonuses and penalties are added to the result of the roll and the range of possible results is only 20 wide. It may be 1-20 or 17-36, but always only 20 wide.

C9A - Tony those nuts?

This chapter gave a brief glimpse into the Professors plan, which I confess I still don't understand!

I enjoyed the introduction of Tony Donuts, although his speech was a bit difficult to understand, I had to re-read the conversations a few times.

Right now I'm kind of on Tony's side, sometimes I want to see the bad guys win.

I enjoyed the punning and the punning response of kicking the side of the bed. From now on when I or someone else puns I'm going to kick a nearby object. What could go wrong?
