Immediately the prose feels different, smoother, less arcane and far less fun. The heavy descriptions start coming and much information is given to the reader with statements like "I learned later that..."
With so much information and so little action, this book moves slowly. The prose starts to right itself just...

I've never reviewed a 'zine so this will be a first.
I haven't really dealt with gaming 'zines since before the Internet was graphical. Certainly I've checked out more mainstream forays like Dragon and Gygax.
I can't accurately describe my excitement when this arrived in the mail so quickly from the States. It was so inexpensive. It arrived promptly. It was tuned to the upcoming Halloween...
This time I used a bunch of Burger King coupons and got 4 Whoppers, 2 Double Bacon Cheeseburgers, 1 set of chicken nuggets, 3 soft drinks and 5 sets of small french fries. (It is supposed to be one coupon per customer but they apparently overlooked that.)

Well...That was an interesting read, nothing like the first two books.
Even now I'm not entirely sure what I just read.
From what I gather, a trodden-on woman with a chip on her shoulder gave herself magic powers so she could order other people around. Apparently life was hard for this brilliant and beautiful woman.
You'd think I would sympathize with her regarding working in a male-dominated field, but I really couldn't.
This story disturbed me a bit and reinforced how a person's perspective shapes their entire reality.
This time we had a Meat Lover's pizza with the pepperoni removed and the substituted with with the same meat they put in Philly Cheese Steak submarine sandwitches. (One of our Player's won't eat pepperoni.)
